A shining vision of the future preserved. The Carnegie Library elegantly states that this city understands the value of learning and the importance of providing a place of enlightenment for future generations. Once in danger of being lost only a few years ago, the building has now been preserved to serve for the next 100 years and beyond. Adapting the Carnegie Library to new use has made this remarkable building productive once again and has preserved one of Wichita's most important landmarks. This landmark building will not only help us better serve our business community, it will also serve as a lasting tribute to Mrs. Murdock, Andrew Carnegie, and all those who have contributed to the cultural advancement of Wichita.
